HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS

There's no better time for a family photo than the holidays.  Had a great time photographing the Bradley family the day after Thanksgiving.  Baby Maeve was the star of the show but the rest of the family did great in their supporting roles.

MAKING BEAUTIFUL MUSIC

Traveled to the North Shore last month to photograph newly engaged couple Sandy and Tim.  Cold weather kept us local but there was no lack of charm with these two.  Best of luck guys!

PUPPY LOVE

My grand dog Blitz and I have a love/hate relationship.  He loves me...
But today I had the brilliant idea to channel my energy in a positive direction by photographing him in his natural environment; full speed ahead.  Good boy!

BOGGED DOWN

After a series of false starts, I had a successful visit Ed Randall's Old Forge Farm in Carver, Ma.  It was sunny and cool and from atop Ed's perch, I had a great view of their wet harvest.  This is true New England color at its finest!

SISTER ACT

Not having a sister myself, I was quite jealous of the budding relationship between these two youngsters.  Their playfulness and sense of fun was contagious.  We did let mom and dad get into the act but they were really just props for this young sister act.

FIFTY SHADES OF GRAYSON

I'm going to spare you any/all excuses for how this blog got derailed early this fall and just encourage you to now continue to enjoy this on a regular basis!  I had a great time photographing 3 week old baby Grayson.  He was well behaved, sleeping and waking almost on command.  No matter how many times I photograph a newborn, I never stop being amazed at how miraculous they are and how wonderful the bond is between baby and parent.

FAMILY AFFAIR

More "What I did on my Summer Vacation" included taking lots of family portraits.  A host of local families have taken advantage of the relaxed vacation schedules and great weather in order to get those long overdue family portraits.  I did the usual beach sessions but also went aboard the Ross family's sailboat in Hingham Harbor for a totally different setting.  It's not too late for a late summer or fall portrait so call me to make an appointment!

SUMMER SHACK

WAY behind on posting "What I did on my Summer Vacation."  Back in June I took a workshop in Gloucester with Kathy Tarantola from the Digital Photo Academy.  Our goal was to photograph the super moon.  Some bad luck kept that from happening but we made the best of it and still had a great time, culminating in a sunset shoot at Annisquam Light.

SENIOR MOMENT

The Class of 2013 has just hung up their caps and gowns but that means that a new senior class is ready to step up and fill the void.  Believe it or not, if you have a rising senior, it's time to think about booking that all important senior photo.  After taking your senior's photo, I'll edit it to your personal taste and then make sure it gets directly to your school yearbook staff.  Senior photo package, pricing information and samples are available on my website, Snapshots by Susan.  Call me at 617-827-2422 to reserve your photo session.

OOH, BABY BABY

Heading into a busy summer portrait and wedding season but will always make time to photograph a beautiful baby.  Baby Will flashed his baby blues and the rest was history.  This guy smiled, kept his eyes open and then slept on command, giving me some great opportunities to capture him at 4 months.
